Wow what a weekend. Being a bull rider and having to walk away from the sport was one of the harder decisions I’ve made in life but maybe one of the smartest…I’m still deciding. My wife really knows how to put a smile of my face by combining my passions into one. From being a rider in the chute to being advertised on the chute! What a cool feeling it was to see our business on a bucking chute and my lucky number chute at that. I was honored to be able to bring a display case of snakes to set up in the vendor area where I could educate people on the the true nature of these wonderful misunderstood animals and put to rest the fear that was instilled in them their whole lives. Young cowboys and cowgirls got to hold their very first snake and a few adults got to conquer their fear by holding and admiring the beauty a snake has to offer. I won’t lie I was entertained at the initial reactions of people turning the corner and noticing the snakes when passing my booth. Thank you Twisted Horn Rodeo Company for hosting us. To follow up the rodeo we set up the next day at West Virginia Reptile Expo in Charleston WV where we got so see some of the regular people we always enjoy seeing as well and meeting new faces. We look forward to vending Charleston again in the future and are truly grateful to the people who supported our little business/hobby over the last two days.
