We received some really wonderful news today.
Take into account most testing is done at 2 years old, in particular Hips and Elbows.
We feel very blessed to receive these results for Nora at 4.5 years old and Simon at 6 years old.
Our small kennel has learned an important lesson here in testing. We hope to be better advocates for proper health testing in the future.
We had early 6 month X-rays done but missed our two year mark on both our dogsš.
Iām thinking I like the protocol of continuing X-rays at 6 months (to rule out major genetic structural defects etc.), ensuring we do our two year testing, and also adding in advanced age/senior testing DEPENDENT on previous testing results and if it is worth it to put our mastiffs through invasive testing to show how they are holding up in their environment as they age. Any thoughts Iām always open to hearing!
