Because of upcoming weather this has been moved to park district offices!

🚨PET EXPO LOCATION CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER! 🌩🌧
Get out of the rain and join us indoors for both the Pet Expo and Cat Adoption at our park district's multi purpose room in the David A Francis Center, 1001 N. Latham St. Noon to 3pm.
Since we will be inside, we cannot have dogs attend, unfortunately! But we will have vendors with dog items and services, kitties needing new homes! 😻

Hello all! Wanted to share the story of this sweet pup, Archie. While doing a routine check Mom found the growth in his upper lip. Luckily it was found early and after removal it was determined to be a stage 1 cancer. After his surgery he’s waiting for his appt at Iowa state to determine his next course of treatment.
I wanted to share this to stress the importance of doing a regular check of your pets mouth. This will alert when something needs to have a vet check and also allow the vet easier access to the mouth. Hope this helps to keep the pups safe!

With the temps staying high all week here’s some great goodies for your pups! Remember to put your hand on the concrete to check it’s temperature before walking you dog!

Wishing everyone a fun and safe Fourth of July! We will reopen on Monday and I’m slowly coming back from my surgery. Now I have to be careful not to overdue 🤣

Hope you’re all having a great Spring (or summer). I continue to heal after foot surgery on April 21. Turns out it was a 5hr procedure which I was not expecting. Got some hardware changed out and put in a bone graft. Thought I could return for limited grooming after 3 wks but the doctor nipped that one. I get my cast changes again next Wednesday so will post again. My fellow groomer Megan and also my super bather Sarah continue having hours. Sorry for the long post!
