Some of you may have already seen our new doctor around but we would like to formally introduce you to Dr. Shelby Morse, DVM.
Dr. Morse is from Western Washington and loves the Pacific Northwest. Her dad is an equine veterinarian, so she basically grew up in a vet truck. She was fortunate to always have horses and, believe it or not, her first word was “horse”. She grew up competing in hunter/jumper, dressage, and endurance riding, and rode on the IHSA English Equestrian Team at Utah State University. During college, she developed a love for draft horses, especially Clydesdales, while working at a world champion Clydesdale driving barn.
After graduating from vet school, she completed an equine internship in Tennessee where she developed special interests in equine internal medicine, reproduction, and sports medicine. She is excited to join the community and help care for your large animals.
When not working, she can be found on long walks with her border collie, reading, swimming in the lake, fly-fishing with her husband, or propagating plants.
