Here's some news for everyone! Thunder Ridge is moving to Heron, Montana! Heron is a small community on MT Hwy 200 between Thompson Falls and Clark Fork, ID. And we're growing! We have added an Arabian gelding to the ranch, as well as five sheep, a goat, and about 40 chickens. Cowboy will continue to be offered at stud, and I'm still looking for the "perfect" mare to cross him on. (Homozygous few-spot or snowcap mare, preferably with Prince Plaudit in the pedigree.)

It's official!! Thunder Ridge Appaloosas is moving to Sanders County Montana! Looking for property now in the area between Clark Fork, ID and Trout Creek. Hopefully moving the stock in July and the cabin in early August. Joining us in Sanders county will be BLM mustangs, Dexter cattle, Heritage Chocolate Turkeys, and Kune Kune pigs. These are in addition to the chickens, goats, and lambs moving with us. And of course, Cowboy will be standing at stud to approved mares only. Riding, lessons, training, and boarding will be part of our operation as well. Stay tuned!! (And I thought I was retired! Hah!)

Cowboy's dam was Stormy Delight, bred by Doug and Sue Schembri's Char-O-Lot Ranch in Myakka City, FL. Her sire was the 1969 dun leopard stallion, Ute Plaudit, T162146, ROM winner and sire of many champion show horses. Cowboy has the dun factor!
