Moons The Limit (aka Moon) is a 5yo OTTB gelding standing at 15.2h currently. He is butt-high so he will continue to grow some more and we expect him to finish at 15.3-16ish. He is lightly raced, having only made 12 starts and proved he was too slow for racing. Moon retired sound with no injuries in November 2022. Since then he has been properly let down and restarted. He is well mannered and easy to handle and has no vices. Moon gets along perfectly in a pasture with other geldings and is an overall solid citizen. Under saddle he is very quiet and has more whoa than go. We have put our 11yo niece on him for W/T lessons and he’s quietly taken her over cross rails as well! We have trailered him to a few shows and he loads and trailers perfectly and is happy to stand on the trailer during the show day as well. We have started him over fences (2-2’3 so far) and introduced him to cross country as well and he just takes everything in stride. He recently did his first combined test outing and did very well! Moon has a lovely canter in addition to his good mind. We believe he could go any number of ways with his new owner, be it hunters, eventing, dressage etc. Moon is a fairly easy keeper and is currently in 4 regular steel shoes.

Moon has been shown walk/trot in a 4H show under a youth rider and was absolutely perfect. He truly has an incredible brain and is such a kind young horse.

Most recently, in August he was shown in the low hunters division at the Erie County Fair HJ show and was in the ribbons.

Karma is an 11yo OTTB mare that is well restarted with no known injuries or vices. She has been shown up to 2’ so far at jumper shows and combined tests. She is schooling 2’3 to 2’6 at home currently. She’s been ridden western and English. She has a very sweet personality and can be turned out alone or in a group without drama; currently she is living alone in a stall with a run outside, so she can come and go as she pleases. She is lightly raced with 15 starts, the last being in August of 2017. She has a good work ethic and has no limitations, so whatever discipline you like, she can be your next partner. She has no buck, bolt or rear. We would assess her as requiring an intermediate rider. Karma could also be a nice addition to somebody’s breeding program.

Our team had a wonderful day at Chestnut Ridge Equestrian Center today with everyone having great rides and scores. Makena and Emrys went around their first HT together today and finished in 6th. It’s a pleasure watching this team develop; they are both so special. Clare and Rogan went out there and took 1st in the BN combined test - these two continue to improve in both phases. Jill and Moon had a good day as well, finishing 3rd in the intro CT. This is the first outing of this kind for Moon, who is a 4yo OTTB gelding. (He will be for sale soon if anyone is looking for a solid young horse to bring along!) Kristin and Guinness had 3 nice dressage tests and brought home two 1sts and a 2nd. Natalie had a very successful day with Sully and finished in 2nd in the Intro CT and her sister Camryn rode Sully for an intro test as well and took 1st! Brooklyn and Jagger took 2nd place and Charlotte and Jagger brought home 3rd in their intro dressage tests, respectively. Both pairs put in beautiful rides - it’s nice to watch these girls progress and have so much fun at shows.

Overall, a really solid show day. As always, thank you to Sue for organizing and hosting this show at her beautiful farm.

Some highlights from our riders at last weekend’s derby at Fox Run Farm.

Everyone had a great experience! Makena and Emrys ended up taking first place in her very first derby class ever and we believe this pair has an extremely bright future! Jacki also took a first place in the beginner novice class on her lease mare Cherry Frost, getting around the course in a quick minute and a half! Jillian and Cold Sober had a great showing as well securing 4th in beginner novice 🥳 and last but certainly not least is Clare and Red Stripe Rogan who are reunited again this season as if they never spent a second apart. They had a great run despite not ribboning in their class but as anyone reading this who has sat on Rogan knows - he’s not at all as uncomplicated as he looks on course.

Event season is in full swing and we can’t believe it’s already July. Next stop is the horse trials at GVH next weekend!

This handsome gelding is extremely sound, has zero vices & has a great work ethic & brain to match his flashy looks. He has beautiful solid feet and has never required shoes. He has been campaigned in dressage & eventing thus far & the judges love him. Nearly every dressage judge has commented about his potential & beautiful movement!
He has 3 lovely gaits & always tries hard for his rider. He has no injuries & can go any direction you like. He is UTD on vaccines/has a current coggins. He loads & trailers beautifully (we have both a 2H straight & a 4H head to head that he has been on) & handles the commotion of a show venue like a pro whether he is stalled or working off the trailer.

This gelding is easily one of the nicest horses we have had the pleasure of having in our barn. He has been jumped up to 2’9, but was regularly tackling 2’3 to 2’6 courses as he was growing & filling out during his 4yo year. He was also shown at the YEH division at GVRDC last fall! He also has trail riding experience. He will go out alone or in a group.

He has tons of potential as a dressage mount & & happily goes in a regular noseband & lozenge snaffle. We would LOVE to see him with a rider who wants to bring him up the levels in dressage but we encourage interested parties to come sit on him & see for yourself!

Ringring Reese or “Remi” is an OTTB that last raced in 2015. He has no known injuries or limitations that we are aware of & is a nice horse to have around the barn. He gets along in turnout with a large group of geldings & his sole “vice” is a very minor stall weaving habit but only at feed time; otherwise, he’s quiet & a solid citizen.

Remi has begun schooling courses & is currently schooling 2’3 - 2’6 but shows a ton of scope for more. He has been shown at a local jumper show & a few combined tests & done very well! He currently has two plain steel front shoes & happily goes in a snaffle.

Remi would be likely best suited for an adult amateur or advanced teenager. We think he would excel in jumpers, Hunters, lower level eventing, etc.
