🐾 Does Your Dog Know How to Do Nothing? 🐾
Kodi and Nash are back at it! 🐶🐶 This time, we’re focusing on one of the most valuable commands in dog training — the PLACE command!
Most dogs know how to run, play, jump, and get excited. But teaching a dog how to settle down and simply do nothing? That’s an entirely different skill!
The Place command is about much more than having your dog stay on a bed. It teaches important life skills, including:
✅ Impulse Control – Learning to resist distractions instead of reacting to everything around them.
✅ Patience – Understanding that they don’t always need to be moving or seeking attention.
✅ Calmness – Learning to settle and relax, even when things are happening around them.
✅ Boundaries – Understanding expectations and remaining in a designated area until released.
✅ Better Household Manners – Helping reduce jumping, pacing, and overexcitement when guests arrive.
At Superstition K9 Training, we don’t just teach dogs commands. We teach them how to make better decisions, develop self-control, and understand what’s expected of them.
A well-trained dog doesn’t always need to be doing something. Sometimes, the most valuable skill is learning how to do nothing!
