Meet “Betsy” a 14.3H 2015 AQHA mare. I’ve owned Betsy over a year & she’s been a pleasure to have around. Before I bought Betsy she was used mainly for jumping & barrels, then a broodmare. I bought her to breed & she raised an exceptional c**t this year. She was an easy foaler & a great mom. Betsy caught first try on shipped semen via ai. I’ve decided to cut back on my broodmares & i’m not a barrel racer, that’s the only reason she’s for sale. Betsy had close to three years off raising c**ts. I’ve started her back up this past month & she hasn’t missed a beat. She will track a cow n I have pen roped some holsteins off her. She rides great outside, by herself or in a group, isn’t spooky at all. She’s easy to ride in the arena, soft in the face and feely off leg. I’ve taken her around the barrels & she wants to be cool. Someone could easily continue legging her up & start entering her. No vices & never taken a lame step.
•Betsy is by Pleasure A Perkn who is a WPRA/CPRA, futurity, derby and open 1D earner and winner. He himself has sired futurity, derby champions, WPRA/CPRA winners and a Calgary Stampede qualifier. He has also had some very nice calf/team roping horses and well as a steer wrestling horse of the year in the PWRA and BCRA•
•Betsy’s dam Wicks Moon Dancer has produced numerous barrel horses & is by Fast Moon Chic. Fast Moon Chic is well known in the Canadian barrel horse industry. He has produced barrel futurity champions and barrel race money earners.•
