This is Scout! 🐾🐕 She is a beautiful 9 year old German shepherd who comes in weekly for antigen injections. These injections are a form of immunotherapy to manage her atopic dermatitis(skin allergies). She is a happy and wiggly girl who is everyone’s best friend!

Hi there. My name is Dug. I have just met you, and I love you!” Today we are talking teeth! This handsome boy, Dug, came in for a dental cleaning yesterday! At 5 years old, he had been experiencing some stinky breath and tartar buildup. Under anesthesia, X-rays were taken to assess root health and the teeth were cleaned for a sparkling white smile! Our pets dental hygiene can be easily overlooked. However pets can start showing symptoms of dental disease by three years of age! Bad breath, drooling, change in chewing habits and bleeding gums are signs that your pet could be in need of dental attention! Preventative oral hygiene is a great way to invest in your pets long term health! This can be done by teeth brushing (which we understand isn’t always a possibility), enzymatic chews and anesthetic dental cleanings!

Today we want to put the spotlight on Dr. Bill Estheimer! ✨ He has been the backbone of this practice and the reason for its continued success! Having practiced at ESRVC since 1987, he has brought much joy to clients and patients alike. We are so grateful for him and all that he does!

Hot Dog! As the weather gets warmer and we spend more time outside we need to be aware of the safety of our furry friends! The ground can get much hotter than the surrounding air and absorbs heat fast! With this in mind you can test the heat of the asphalt by pressing your hand on it for 7 seconds. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them! It takes just 60 seconds on 125° asphalt for destruction to occur! Interesting fact: an egg can fry in just 5 minutes at 131°!
