Whee. It’s Friday, and for some of you that means a three-day weekend. Not for me. They offered double time to work Monday, I had no plans, and apparently I can still be bribed.
It also remains your weekly opportunity to ask an Oriental Shorthair breeder all your relevant questions about cats, kittens, the breed, breeding, showing, and the cat fancy. “Relevant” remains subject to an extremely forgiving interpretation.
Remember, as always: I’m not a veterinarian, cranky pants are my entire wardrobe, and I’m not answering questions about pricing in an open message. If the sensible answer is “take your cat to the vet,” that is the answer you’re going to get. I can be entertaining after the cat is safe.
I shall now anticipate thy queries:
1. No, you cannot reserve a kitten. If everyone is healthy at the end of next week, we’ll start interviews. Right now Mini-Me has an upset tummy and is getting Albon, but she doesn’t presently need more intensive support such as fluids. She’s big enough now that if things look worse? Off to the vet we go. We’re not forcing the calendar at the expense of a kitten.
2. Oreo is placed, and she gets spayed next Thursday. She is going to an experienced Oriental Shorthair owner with an older San-Toi cat. Oreo liked her new mom quite a lot when they met. That part matters more to me than any tidy little announcement.
3. Other projects continue apace. I will say more when there is actually more to say. For now, please enjoy the mystery.
If your three-day weekend is suffering from an inadequate quantity of Oriental Shorthair merchandise, we can help:
