Henley Performance Plus LLC Henley Performance Pluss LLC specializing in Equine Coaching in Reining Horses,Showing, Lessons, Non Pros, C**t starting and Show Horse Rehab. "

Equine Life Coach specializing in Reining Horses, Ranch Riding, Lessons, Sales, NonPro. Henley Performance Plus feels that training a horse is more then training for competition. We feel that every horse should love their job and the partnership with their rider. Every horse is different and each one is taught how to approach each maneuver to the best of their abilities. Julie Henley looks at show horses as them having careers and so with that being said she feels that she is coaching horses into greatness. " I feel that I am doing more then just riding horses everyday. I respect and love each horse and I am helping them through the thick and thin struggles of being a great horse. I don't call myself a trainer, I am an Equine Life Coach. This is what I do, I coach horses to be great." She also applies this outlook to owners and coaches them to understand their horses better and how simple methods get the best results. She loves to show everyone the loving and healing side of horses.

From our barn to yours 🤍
Wishing everyone a very Happy Holiday season.

We hope this time of year allows you to slow down, breathe deep, and spend meaningful moments with the ones you love—both two-legged and four-legged.

As we look ahead, we’re excited to share that big things are coming next year. We’ve recently relocated to a new barn, and as we settle in and find our rhythm, we’re embracing this new chapter with gratitude and excitement. We can’t wait to bring you along and share what’s ahead.

Thank you for being part of our journey—stay tuned and follow along for this fun new season.

And if you’d like to follow along with Julie’s other passion—connecting hearts and animals—be sure to visit

“I call horses ‘divine mirrors’ - they reflect back the emotions you put in. If you put in love and respect and kindness and curiosity, the horse will return that.”

Just a story I heard.

BRUSH out your horse’s Fairy Reins. Don’t ever cut them out.

As the story goes, when a child dies, it makes all the angels in Heaven cry, and their tears make it too hard to see, to bring that child to Heaven.

So the fairies rush to help. But the fairies are so small, that they can’t make it all the way to Heaven on their own.

So they braid a rein into a horse’s mane and borrow the horse in the dark of night to get the child up to Heaven.

When you cut out a Fairy Rein, or roach a horse’s mane, they can’t borrow your horse.

If you ever came to the barn in Pauma Valley you got to meet Larry and Wesley. On 7/17/22 Julie, Chase and their family said good bye to Larry. We will miss you dearly. We know that you and Wesley are together playing and waiting until we meet again.

Love for the horses is why Julie became a professional trainer. She may not have the fullest barn with the most clients, but at the end of the day the horses and clients are family. She shares her love with her niece and loves showing her the show horse world.
