Needs a home!!! Such a lovely mellow boy!!


Waylon is out of the Lancaster shelter! Still a little d***y from his surgery this morning. But yes, that is carpet below his feet, not concrete or dirt. Please fill out an adoption application if you are looking for a nice, mellow boy. Shelter estimated his age at 3.

She is not good with other dogs. She is simply a beautiful (see the video).. young female.

Johnny is out of the shelter! He is a big, strong, goofy puppy. A bit of panic when he reluctantly got in the car, followed by him starting to relax. First stop a visit to the vet to assess his happy tail. The vet is hopeful it will heal on its own, so off he went to his foster home. It's always possible they stopped for a puppuchino on the way...

*UPDATE* Friday - May 15, 2026
Both Boys are safe!!
The young male at the Lancaster Shelter will be neutered and we can pick him up on Wednesday.
Johnnie at East Valley Shelter (Van Nuys) is getting jail breaked tomorrow and is going straight to our vet to have his tail checked and treated.
Both boys will be looking for their Furever permanent homes. If you would like to be their happy next chapter, please visit our website for the adoption information.

🚨HELP US BUST THESE TWO BOYS FROM THE SHELTER🚨

Sadly we have been made aware of not one but TWO males in the shelter that we would like to take into rescue but we need somewhere for them to land before we can commit. Will you be their angel? Both LA-area but we can coordinate transport for a committed foster or adopter.

Here is what we know:
▶ Photo 1 (docked tail) Lancaster Shelter --> male, intact, calm/mellow (we will cover the neuter)

▶ Photo 2 (full tail) East Valley Shelter (Van Nuys) --> 1-2 years old, re-injured happy tail that won't heal until he's out of a confined space. This poor guy has been in the shelter for two months but not on our radar because of breed mislabeling.

Without a committed foster or foster-to-adopt home, our hands our tied as our regulars already have their houses full. We cover ALL expenses while in foster: food, neuter, medical care...all we ask is you provide a calm space for the dog to decompress and assist with meet and greets when your dog is ready for adoption. There is truly no better feeling than providing a dog in a shelter their "freedom ride".

Adopted!!!!

Meet Blue, a charming 9-year-old senior who is looking for a soft place to land. This sweet boy found himself in a tough spot when he started tripping over a toddler at home in his space of 8 years. Sadly, he was moved to the garage before his family realized he deserved so much more. Blue is the definition of a "gentle soul." He’s a social butterfly who has lived happily with kids and cats, and he absolutely thrives around people. One of his most adorable quirks? He’s a "nooker"! There’s nothing more heart-melting than watching him happily knead and suckle on his favorite blanket. The Quick Stats: Personality: Friendly, sweet, and very well-socialized. Training: Neutered, house-trained, and currently mastering the doggy door. He knows basic commands. Compatibility: Great with other dogs (he’s currently best friends with two Weimaraners in his foster home). Location: Currently lounging in Escondido, CA. Blue is a resilient soul who just wants to be part of the family again. If you have a quiet corner and a spare blanket for him to nook, he’ll give you a lifetime of senior love in return.
