The girls are smitten with their new balls 😆

🎾 Did you know that tennis balls are dangerous for dogs? 🎾

❗️The outside material acts like sandpaper and grinds down teeth.

❗️Dogs can easily break them apart which makes them a choking hazard!

❗️Ingested pieces can become lodged in the airway, cause intestinal blockages and bowel obstructions!

Here’s what we look for when choosing the right kind of ball for fetch!

⭐️ Durable, non toxic material

⭐️ Brightly colored (easier to find 🙈)

⭐️ Large (for us, that means bigger
than a tennis ball since both dogs can easily fit two in their mouths) to prevent choking

⭐️ Fits in chuck it stick launcher bc slobber & dirt 😝

⭐️ Can be bought in packs of 2 or more (tip: two ball fetch makes for a faster game—the pups are each rewarded with a ball for dropping the one they brought back! This incentivizes them to out faster and enjoy chomping on their prize near me while I prepare the ball they just dropped for the next launch!)

Went to go check out a Schutzhund club today!
Today we got to link up with an amazing helper and it was sooo refreshing (despite it being 109 degrees Fahrenheit out)! He was able to explain and break things down in a way that helped us understand what we are doing and most importantly—WHY!
I also haven’t seen Ember or myself have this much fun in a long time. Here’s to a new chapter in our life! Looking forward to going again soon!
