Dear Animal Lover,

We believe there is hope out there in the world for dogs and humans to communicate smarter, learn more and teach better through positive reinforcement and force free training techniques. Our goal is to strengthen the human animal bond by focusing on the relationship. We are using the scientific learning theory and reward based training techniques, which are safe, fun, effective

and motivating for all animals. Our mission is happy dogs as well as happy people through training, communication, kindness and education.

Behaviors are heavily influenced by day to day routines, association’s and patterns, the company we keep and the environment we live in. We are making better progress in the yard than on the street as of now due to several factors, so we will work through skills inside the yard where we have more “control” of the triggers. Keep in mind that if we are struggling and not having good learning in a certain environment, start in a different one.

Sometime dogs gets to share new arrivals, four legged and two legged. Max’s pawrents are training, prepping and planning before the baby comes-very smart and thoughtful! Managements and keeping routines as consistent as possible is key, as the change that is coming can add stress for the dog. Fine tuning settle/relax on place, handling/establishing boundaries, noise prep, self control and more. This can be very individual based on the dog’s personality, training level and background. We wish the happiest of time and a smooth transition.

Riding in the car comes easily to many dogs, while some dogs experience motion sickness, fear and anxiety. This can present with vocalization, salivation, restlessness, vomiting, avoidance of car. Even though one situation is different than the next, here are some basic tips to start with.
-take your time loading (allow the dog to figure out how to best enter, without being rushed, what location feels best).
-short frequent trips to fun and positive places.
-added comfort such as favorite toy, music, calming supplements, buddy system, window view/blocked windows, pheromones, reassurance…)
-motion sickness medication.
-desensitization and counter conditioning to vehicle, destinations, car environment, frequency) to help overcome previous negative associations, trauma or uncertainty.
