Bridget and Rich were grieving their beloved cat Joey after he passed, but Joey's best bud and bonded brother Goofy was also deeply affected. The couple supported Goofy through the transition as best they could but for some kitties, they really need a cat companion. Goofy is an orange guy with a big personality, they described to us a golden retriever in a cat costume. Several cats seemed like a potential match but one stood out, our lil tabby of all trades Marky Mark. Snuggly? Check. Playful? Uh huh. Down to get into some antics with another cat? Oh yeah!

From day one of arrival, Goofy declared he was ready to meet this new stranger so keeping them separated was a challenge. But Goofy was not only insistent, he was right! The boys met and basically signaled an immediate, invisible handshake: brothers? Brothers! They immediately played together in a cardboard box and it turned out Marky Mark was ready to hold his own against Goofy, which was more fun for both. They play, sleep and eat together all the time. Marky Mark sleeps with Bridget, Goofy sleeps with Robert. Marky is now Marvin, and is exactly where he was needed and wanted. Congrats adoption #2095! An update from his parents below:

John had been devoted to his special tortie Mugsy since 2008 and was devastated to say goodbye to his best girl this year when cancer came on quickly. He knew he had an abundance of love that needed somewhere to land and that is how he came to find Angry Bird’s profile.

John hoped to find a cat who would be a companion, cuddle bud, and would feel free to be silly. It made complete sense that John was taken in by Angry Bird’s perma smile, love of burrowing under covers, TV binge-watching, and his tiny prancing dancing routines. John appreciates the mix of curiosity and comedy Angry Bird has brought to his life. Angry Bird had waited nearly a year for someone who “got him” and wow was it worth the wait!

Now called Mr. Bean, these two dudes are having the best time together. Congratulations on becoming adoption #2093!

Meet Gra! He is a sweet, quiet guy looking for a home to welcome him.

Gra is a playful cat who loves chasing toy mice and playing with ping pong balls. He loves other cats and also gets along great with calm dogs. At mealtimes, he will circle around your feet to say hello, and he enjoys cozying up on the big bed at night.

Because sudden noises make him nervous, Gra needs a quiet, kid-free home with a family that works from home or is around often to help him feel safe as he settles in.

We met Khloe as a doting mama cat ready to step out of “mom mode” and into discovering who she is for herself. Once she got to be on her own the first we learned was this girlie absolutely loves attention. Khloe is constantly seeking pets and will happily rub against people and objects to signal she wants affection. When this little ham isn’t fishing for pets she is happy to lounge or play in tunnels. We knew she was looking for someone to have a deep bond with.

Joshua met Khloe when his best friend started fostering her. While he has never had a cat of his own before he had a lot of experience with friends and roommates which created space in his heart for adopting one day. When he met Khloe he experienced a joy and connection unlike any of his previous cat interactions, upon meeting her a calm came over him. When you know, you know. Cat parent life came easy and when they’re not playing wand toy Khloe is trying to sneak snacks and sleeps on Joshua every night. Now named Peanut, we are thrilled for the journey ahead for adoption #2092 🩷
