Upper Douglass Dog Park News, events, and community postings of interest to Upper Douglass Dog Park users and neighbors.

We maintain this Facebook group, organize and sponsor park activities, clean-up days, beautification, preservation, and restoration projects, and act as a liaison between the community of users and the city in order to advocate and advance improvements to the park. We were a key contributor to the SF-RPD Capital project to rehabilitated the Upper Douglass field/grass and drainage. Friends! A woman lost a gold oval locket this morning at upper Douglass dog Park. Please keep an eye out for it while you’re picking up p**p! Thanks!

Friends! Please, please, PLEASE, *do not* use the human part of the drinking fountain for washing off dog toys. It makes it really gross for anyone that really needs to get a drink of water. There is a hose at the front or just put them in a bag, put it in your pocket and take it home. When park users do something like this, someone has to come behind you and clean up your mess and no one wants that. Thanks!

So great that best friends, Cherry and Lazlo decided to have their birthday party at Upper Douglass!

Friends! The park will be opening March 28. Now is a good time to remind every one of the rules of the park. There aren’t very many but they’re all important.

Specifically, please prevent your dog from digging. If your dog digs, you must make the effort to fill in the hole. There are wheelbarrows, shovels, and piles of dirt at either end of the park. Holes can be very dangerous for both humans and dogs and are the number one thing that destroys the turf.

If your dog wants to dig, please direct them to the giant piles of dirt or two places where humans can’t walk. 🦴🐾🦴🐾
