Even when you aren’t spending as much time outside, the dogs are still using the yard. If the cleanup gets postponed, the buildup will be waiting when you’re ready to enjoy the space again.

Some of my regular four-legged customers recognize me before their owners do.

They hear me arrive and head straight for the gate, ready to supervise the weekly cleanup. A few follow me around the entire yard as if they’re inspecting my work.

Those familiar greetings are one of the best parts of having long-term customers. Eventually, I’m no longer a stranger—I’m just part of the dogs’ weekly routine.

The first cleanup is often the biggest one.

If the yard hasn’t been cleaned in a while, I take the time to work through the buildup and give the space a fresh start. There’s no judgment and no lecture about how it got that way.

Once the initial cleanup is finished, regular service prevents the waste from taking over again. That’s when customers really begin to enjoy the difference: a cleaner yard without having to think about it every week.

One thing customers often tell me is, “I’m embarrassed about how bad the yard has gotten.”

The truth is, there’s no reason to be embarrassed. It happens all the time. Between work, family, kids, and everything else life throws at you, cleaning up after the dogs is an easy chore to keep putting off. With multiple dogs, the mess can build up surprisingly fast.

I’m not there to judge your yard or ask why it wasn’t cleaned sooner. I’m there to take care of it and help you get your outdoor space back.

Whether it has been a few weeks or much longer, I’ve probably seen worse. Just point me toward the gate, and I’ll handle the rest.

Being outside with dogs all day definitely beats being stuck behind a desk.

Sure, San Diego has its hot days, and the work isn’t always glamorous—but I get fresh air, stay active, and meet plenty of great dogs along the way. Some greet me with excitement, while others follow me around to make sure I’m doing the job correctly.

Running Sirius Scoopers keeps me moving and lets me do work that makes a noticeable difference for my customers. At the end of each visit, the yard is cleaner, the dogs have a safer space to enjoy, and the owner has one less chore waiting for them.

I’ll take wagging tails and outdoor office views over a desk and fluorescent lights any day.
