🚨 If you are evacuating due to the or , TAKE YOUR PETS WITH YOU. 🚨
Do not wait until conditions worsen or evacuation orders become mandatory. Fires can spread quickly, roads can close, and emergency responders may not be able to return for animals left behind.
🐾 Your pets depend on you to keep them safe.
If you need to leave: ✅ Bring your pets indoors now so they can be quickly loaded into carriers or vehicles. ✅ Take food, water, medications, vaccination records, and identification. ✅ Bring crates, carriers, leashes, collars, bedding, and any supplies needed to keep your pets safe and comfortable. ✅ Make sure collars and ID tags are current, and verify your pet's microchip information is up to date. ✅ If you have horses or livestock, begin evacuation preparations immediately and move animals early whenever possible.
⚠️ Never leave pets behind during an evacuation. They cannot protect themselves from fast-moving fire, smoke, extreme heat, or changing conditions. Waiting until the last minute can put both animals and people at greater risk.
If you're away from home, contact a trusted neighbor or friend who can help evacuate your animals.
The safest choice is to leave early and take your pets with you.
