Children are often a lot more capable than we give them credit for.❤️ after I finished working with a family’s new puppy this week, the youngest daughter grabbed her little f***y pack, filled it with treats and p**p bags, just like mine, and headed into the backyard to work with the puppy herself.
Her family told me she repeated almost the entire lesson from memory🥰.
When it comes to, raising a healthy dog, the whole family can help.🐾

On memorial day, we remember an honor that people who gave their lives serving our country.🇺🇸
I think it’s worth remembering that many military working dogs served and sacrificed beside them with incredible loyalty and bravery. Dogs truly give us everything they have.
Hope everyone has a safe and meaningful memorial day.

Poor little Dobie 💔
Dobie is only four months old now, but after a scary experience during a vet visit when he was just three months old, his whole world changed. After that appointment, he became terrified of people. He barked, lunged, and even nipped when someone new tried to touch him because he truly believed he needed to protect himself now. His owners were heartbroken and didn’t know what to do, so they reached out to me for help.
During our first lesson, Dobie wanted absolutely nothing to do with me.  he barked and lunged and would not let me touch him. It took two full lessons for him to realize I was safe and that all I wanted to do was help him and give him treats.
Now we are several lessons in, and the transformation has been amazing. His owners have worked incredibly hard and followed through with everything I taught them. Because of that consistency, Dobby is finally starting to let go of his fear and enjoy being a puppy again.
These days, Dobby is learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. ❤️
Fearful dogs can improve tremendously with patience, love, proper guidance, and consistency.
