🌟IZZY🌟

💛Meet Isabelle Joy—Izzy for short! This 6-year-old terrier mix was rescued from Tijuana and found her furever home in April 2021. Izzy loves water—pools, beaches, snow—but draws the line at baths. She’s happiest chasing balls or getting chased at the park, claiming the couch pillows, and urban hiking with dad (always keeping watch for squirrels and kitties). Friendly, kissy, and always excited to meet new people, Izzy is a true social butterfly and if you’re lucky, she might even sing or howl for you. She really is a sweet lil girl! 💛

We will be closed this Saturday for the Pride parade and celebration. 🐾

Our sister hospital, Rose Canyon Animal Hospital, will be open on Sunday as well.

💫We have two precious and cool cats welcoming our summer months!☀️

🫒 Olive Garden and Red Lobster 🦞

Olive Garden (also known as Olv, Chooby, Meeta) is 13 years old and from San Luis Obispo. She is the sweetest cat in the world and loves being around people. Her hobbies include cuddling, kicking her tennis ball around, and sniffing plants in the garden.
Olive Garden’s favorite things:
- Hootin and hollerin
- sleeping under a blanket
- her older brother Toby who she misses dearly (rest in peace ♥️)
- sleeping on someone’s lap

Red Lobster (also known as Red, Ropti, Roppapotamus, Castellano) is 9 months old and a ball of pure energy. He loves to cuddle and is a loud snorer. Red Lobster’s hobbies include playing with his sister, watching his bird friends out the window, and launching himself great distances.
Red Lobster’s favorite things:
- jumpscaring his big sister
- His wand toy
- Tummy rubs
- Kicking small objects all over the house

No better way to bring in our sunny San Diego Sunner than with these two 💛💛💛.

These pups are too much of pair, we couldn't choose just one!
🌟🌟Miss Sadie and Rue🌟🌟 have been the shining stars of the month of May!

Some words from the duos mommy,
"🌟Sadie is a 9 ½-year-old golden retriever with a big heart and an even bigger love for snacks. She spends her days happily accepting pets from anyone willing to give them and never turns down an opportunity for a treat — or a trip to the vet, which she considers a highlight.
🌟Rue, an 8-year-old sweetheart, is her equally lovable counterpart, known for her constant need for snuggles and her belief that there are no such thing as strangers. She greets everyone with enthusiasm and affection, especially if it means extra attention. 🌟
Together, Sadie and Rue love long walks around the harbor in Point Loma, where they can soak up the sunshine, meet new friends, and — thanks to their impressive skills — locate just about every door that might lead to a treat. They’re also frequent fliers at Uptown Animal Hospital, where they’ve made quite the impression with both their charm and their enthusiasm for visits. If you see them out and about, don’t hesitate to stop and say hello — they’ll gladly accept all the love (and maybe a snack or two). "

🌟April Pet of the Month🌟
Everyone give some love to this sweet boy,
🩵BAXTER!!🩵

💫"Baxter will be 17 this year, if you believe the folks at Every Creature Counts (Denver, CO), who rescued him in 2011. Once he joined our family, we quickly learned that he is full of personality, loves fresh air, and thinks he’s a dog. When we moved to San Diego from Denver in June 2024, he quickly adapted to the year-round outdoor lifestyle. He enjoys howling loudly, walks on his leash (as long as there isn’t a lot of traffic noise nearby), camping, spending time lounging and greeting neighbors from his catio, and snuggling with his humans and his dog siblings. In his time with us, he has lost his two best dog friends and a cat sister, and is currently mourning the loss of his beloved canine, Chloe❤️. Baxter is grateful for the care he gets at Uptown Animal Hospital and for all of the attention lavished on him each time he comes in the door and loudly announces his presence. "🩵

We all love this boy, and his whole family here at Uptown! 💕
