Meet Petey! 🐶
Petey came to me for severe dog reactivity and with a bite history for human aggression. He’d previously been through another training program that unfortunately did not cater to his needs. He bit me on our first session 💔. But as we set boundaries with him, and taught him that type of behavior is not ok, he slowly but surely warmed up to me. Now, he loves to see me and even lets me hold him!
Petey graduated from my training program a few weeks ago. His reactivity towards dogs is almost 100% gone and he rarely ever exhibits aggression. With his owners’ help he continues to improve daily! He is a totally different, much happier dog than when I met him!
Petey’s owners did an amazing job stepping up to be the type of leaders that Petey needed in his life. I taught them exercises to help Petey build his confidence and recall exercises to help Petey live his most fulfilling life. I really enjoyed working with Petey and I’m so proud of him and his owners’ progress and how much love and dedication they put into his training!

Congrats to Liilac for completing training with me! Liilac is a super sweet, Merle corgi puppy with lots of personality! She is her owner’s first dog ever so I got to help her with lots of training techniques and I got to give her plenty of canine behavior and health info that every first-time owner needs to know.

Here’s what we worked on:
- Jumping
- Recall
- Loose-leash walking
- Heel (I call it With Me)
- Barking

Thank you to everyone who came out for my first Sunset Pack Walk at Fiesta Island Dog Park! The weather was perfect and the dogs did fantastic together. If you missed this one, make sure to RSVP next month! I hold one free pack walk per month. These walks are the perfect opportunity to meet other dogs in the San Diego community, ask a professional dog trainer any questions you have, and watch the sunset with new friends! I teach this game to all of my puppy clients! This game is ideal for couples, but it’s also an especially great game for families who want to get their kids involved with the training process. Teaching your puppy to recall to any member of the family is a perfect way to get her used to her name, and to build up her recall (tip: start by teaching your puppy her name first and then, when she is ready, start small by playing recall tag inside the home- gradually adding more distractions).
