Fireworks terrify animals! One minute, they’re enjoying their peaceful routines, and the next, they hear explosively loud sounds and see bright, flashing lights overhead. Many think their world is coming to an end, and may put themselves in danger by fleeing their homes. While fireworks may seem fun for you, they can cause trauma in companion animals, farm animals, wildlife, and humans, too. Animals often need extra comfort during these scary moments.

This weekend and every day, let’s find ways to celebrate that don’t cause suffering to others. The animals thank you!
