After 5 years in business, it wouldn't be the 1st, 2nd or 3rd time it happens. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We may not be the cheapest option - and that’s intentional. Pricing our services properly allows us to hire employees, pay our team fairly, maintain the right equipment and consistently provide the reliable, dependable service our clients expect. Anyone can start a business, but building one that can continue showing up year after year requires charging enough to operate it properly. 💜💚

One of our OG clients that has been with us from the very beginning. 🥰 Dorothy takes her role as guard dog VERY seriously even to this day. But Ray being Ray - she has a way to get almost any pup to let their guard down and get some lovin'! 💜🐾

Super thankful to have clients that not only put their trust and faith in us when we were just a baby business, starting up 5 years ago to then stick with us all these years! 🎉

Yesterday marked 5 years since I started San Diego Scoop Squad! 🎉💜🐾 And what a journey it has been. Seeing this video reflecting on our first year in business to now makes me really proud that we stuck with it, even in the hard times.

According to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, about 20% to 22% of small businesses fail in their first year and roughly 48% to 50% close within five years. Even in a market that is still fairly unknown, I was determined to not let our business be a statistic.

I'm so thankful for all the support the last 5 years. To the family and friends that have cheered us on near and far. Our amazing clients, both new and those that have stuck with us since the beginning. To my amazing team that help provide a reliable and valuable service each week. And of course my supportive husband, Leon, I could not have done this without you and your constant "Let's make it happen" attitude. 🥰
