If you’re not heavy in the Dog Training world, you may not realize there are quite a few things going on right now. 😔
- Cesar Millan was on a science based podcast.
- The age old debate about positive punishment has resurfaced.
- Two big names are once again going after each other.
- And in our local area, a Dog Trainer has had two dogs passed away while in her care. This was a trainer, who previously had recommendations from other dog trainers in the are, so all the trainers who recommended her are also taking some backlash and making statements.
I did not know the trainer. I’m not linked to her, or associated with her club, or any of the other trainers connected to this.
I wanted to get some thoughts out there, because over the next few days we’re gonna hear all the discussions about how the dog industry should be run. Nothing happens overnight. What can happen overnight is we can demand more transparency.
I wanted to say thank you to all the clients who have ever trusted me with your dog (or puppy). It is my honor, and privilege, to work with you and your family member. Your dog will always be safe in my care.
