A collaboration between Orphan Kitten Club and UC Davis ❤️❤️ As a rescue, we learned about Congenital Hypothyroidism in kittens the hard way. It is much more common than most rescues and vets understand. We even have a FB group we started to help people trying to figure it out. Have you had a Congenital HYPOthyroid kitten? 🖤🐾 Still looking for his furrever home! MEET LOUIS — THE PURRFECT KITTEN! 🐾🖤

Looking for a sweet, friendly, confident little companion? Louis might just be your guy! 😻

This handsome 10-week-old black kitten has a beautiful, soft, medium-length coat and a personality to match. His foster calls him “the perfect kitten” — and who are we to argue? 🖤

Rescued with his mom and sister and siblings when he was just days old, Louis has been loved and handled since the beginning. He’s affectionate, playful, wonderfully social, and great with other kitties. He was also raised with a small dog and can do well with dogs with a proper introduction. He’s good with respectful kids, too!

✨ Louis comes ready for his forever home:
🐾 Neutered, flea treated, dewormed
💉 First FVRCP vaccine on board
📍 Microchipped
🚽 Litter-box trained

Louis would love a feline friend to grow up with, but he can absolutely be your one-and-only kitty, too!

🏡 Indoor-only home required.

💲 Adoption fee: $200

📍 Located in San Diego, CA

Oh, good. The annual October tradition of telling cat rescues to stop saving black cats has arrived. 🙄

We have four black kittens available for adoption right now. Our adoption fees and background checks are rigorous 365 days a year. We don’t suddenly forget how to screen adopters because the calendar says October.

And let’s use a little common sense here. Someone intent on harming a cat could find an easier target than going through a rescue with fees, applications, and screening. They could literally pick up a friendly cat off the street. But apparently, we’re supposed to believe that responsible rescues should stop adopting out black cats for two months based on a fear that has no solid evidence behind it.

This week, adopting out Kell made room for us to rescue Meatball, who was at risk of losing an eye. If we stopped adoptions for October and November, we could leave 30 or more cats on the streets to suffer and potentially die. Is that really the safer, more humane option?

And then what? No Christmas adoptions? No Valentine’s Day adoptions? Where does this nonsense end?

Trust the people doing the actual rescue work. We know our screening process. We know our adopters. We take the safety of our cats seriously every single day of the year.

We will not sacrifice cats who desperately need rescue to appease an internet rumor. 🖤🐈‍⬛

Meet Meatball. Did you want him to starve on base partially blind because we aren’t able to take in new kittens to “protect” the black kittens in foster care? From a myth? Meatball is so glad Kell is going to a great home. He got to eat the last two days until his belly is round like a meatball. He got eye meds. But without a foster he would be starving and dying right now. Meatball says “I can’t wait to be Kell and go to my forever home!”

📍 Microchipped
🚽 Litter box trained
🐶 Raised with a small dog

👦 Good with respectful children

Louis is playful, sweet, social, and absolutely adorable. 😻🖤 His fluffy coat makes him look like a little black teddy bear! 🧸🐈‍⬛ Whether he’s chasing a toy 🧶, wrestling with his sister 🤼‍♂️🐈, or looking for some attention from his people 🥰, Louis is just a wonderful little kitten. 💕

🐾🖤 READY FOR ADOPTION! Meet Kell! 🖤🐾

Meet Kell, a 10-week-old neutered male kitten who is basically a perfect little black house panther. 🐈‍⬛ He is 100% velvet and purrs! 😻 And if you’re looking for a professional snuggler, Kell may be your guy! 💕🐾

Kell was trapped as part of a rescue effort, but there was one problem: he was much too sweet to put back outside. When his trapper found him, Kell simply sat in the trap purring up a storm. 😻 He was clearly telling everyone, “Excuse me, I would like to live inside and be loved, please.” 🥹❤️

This little guy absolutely LOVES to snuggle. 💕 He is affectionate, sweet, and happiest when he’s getting attention from his people. He has the personality of a kitten who knows exactly where he belongs — in a loving indoor home, preferably on your lap. 🥰🐾

Kell loves:
🐾 Snuggling with his people
💕 Getting lots of affection
😻 Purring and being loved on
🎾 Playing like a kitten (he really needs another kitty in the home! He is so lonely!)
🖤 Being an adorable little house panther

With proper introductions, Kell should do wonderfully with:
👧 Kids
🐶 Dogs
🐈 Other cats

Kell has been:
🐾 Neutered
💉 Given his first FVRCP vaccine
🪱 Dewormed
🐜 Flea treated
🚽 Litter box trained

💲 Adoption fee: $125
🏠 INDOOR ONLY homes!

📍 Located in Norco, CA, but transport can be arranged throughout Southern California — even all the way down to San Diego! 🚗🐾

Kell was given a second chance to become the inside kitty he clearly wanted to be. 🖤 Now he just needs a family who will give him the love, snuggles, and safe indoor life he deserves. 🥰🐈‍⬛

💚 Malcom is STILL looking for his forever home! 💚🐾

Malcom is a 4-year-old, big, handsome hunk of a cat with a dad bod, huge eyes, and a personality all his own. ❤️

As his foster mom, I love that multiple times a day he does something so funny or endearing that I just have to laugh and think, “You are such a little weirdo.” 😂❤️ And I mean that in the most loving way possible.

He LOVES to play — whether he’s chasing his own tail or flinging toys around with that giant dad bod. Watching him get completely carried away with a toy is hilarious. 😂

He also loves belly rubs and really loves other cats. If another cat catches his attention, he turns into a squiggly little worm and wiggles his way closer. 😂🐛🐈

And then there are his occasional pigeon-like coos. 🐦 He doesn’t really meow much, so he has his own funny little vocabulary.

Malcom came from the hoarding situation we’ve been working on — 30+ cats inside and 40+ outside. He spent his first four years with far too many cats and far too few resources. Now he’s discovering beds, toys, belly rubs, feline friends and all the comforts he missed out on.

🐾 A Little About Malcom

✨ 4-year-old neutered male with a fabulous dad bod
✨ FeLV & FIV negative
✨ Dewormed, flea-treated & neutered
✨ Playful and loves toys
✨ Loves belly rubs and other cats
✨ Sweet, somewhat submissive and very funny
✨ Very enthusiastic grocery consumer 😂
🐾 No cranky cats, please!
🐾 Has never lived with young children or dogs

❤️ ADOPTION FEE WAIVED TO THE RIGHT HOME. ❤️

Frosted Faces is such a wonderful organization. If you love your pets you will explore their Final
Wish program. We will always take care of our rescue’s previously adopted cats, but we get a number of phone calls everyday from people who inherited their relative’s pets. We rarely have the right fosters available or enough funds to take care of senior animals. Frosted Faces is a blessing (not just because of this program). Don’t wait until it is too late!

😹 CAT PEOPLE: LET’S SETTLE THIS.

How many of you can carry your cat around like a baby?

Who can rub the belly without immediately needing medical attention?

Who has a cat that sleeps ON you but would rather die than be picked up?

And who only sees their cat for approximately 11 seconds a day—but still happily pays the mortgage, buys the food, and scoops the p**p? 😂

What makes being completely owned by your cat worth it? 🐈

Tell us your level of servitude. 👇
