Did you know that at least 31 U.S. colleges and universities have a named DOG mascot?

From Georgia’s famous Uga & our beloved Texas A&M’s Reveille (Gig ‘Em!) to Tennessee’s Smokey, Washington’s Dubs and Yale’s Handsome Dan, dogs have been representing college pride for generations!

In fact, 58 four-year colleges are called the Bulldogs and that doesn’t even include the Huskies, Terriers, Greyhounds, Salukis and other canine teams!

Our team is packed with incredible talent, and today we are so excited to shine the spotlight on the awesome Jessi!

If you're in the San Antonio pet community, you might already recognize her—she is super involved locally and brings so much heart to our team. Here is the inside scoop on Jessi:

✨ Pet Care Superpower: The "Spicy Pup" Whisperer! 🌶️🐕 Big personalities and little attitudes don't intimidate Jessi one bit. With her calm, confident, and steady energy, she excels at turning "stranger danger" into "okay, you can stay!" Earning the trust of a skeptical dog and getting that very first tail wag is her absolute favorite victory.

🐶 Favorite part of the job: Meeting all kinds of unique critters! Jessi loves encountering different breeds and species, each with their own special quirks. Every pet teaches her something new, and she cherishes every single animal she meets through Cathy's Critter Care.

🏎️ Fun Fact: She has a serious need for speed! 🏁 Here's a cool secret you probably didn't know: Jessi loves racing cars! She used to take her Mazda Protegé out to compete in autocross events and legal drag racing!

Honoring Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day 🌈💙
On a quiet hill beyond the bridge, animals run free—restored to youth, health, and joy in endless sunlit fields. While they happily wait across the meadow, the deep bond of love they shared with us remains unbroken.

On August 28th, we honor every cherished pet who has passed. Though no longer by our side, their pawprints stay forever on our hearts. We hold space for all the beloved companions we dearly miss.
