HELLO PET PARENTS! 🐾

Labor Day Weekend is almost here!

Our animal hospital AND clinic will be CLOSED Monday, September 7, for Labor Day.

We will reopen with our regular business hours on Tuesday, September 8.

If your pet needs medications, food, or routine care before the holiday, please plan ahead and give us a call!

If your pet experiences an emergency while we are closed, we recommend calling Mission Vet at (210) 737-7373.

HEAT ADVISORY: Keep Those Paws Cool!

The temperatures are rising, and our pets can be especially vulnerable to the heat.

A few simple precautions can make a big difference:

💧 Keep fresh, cool water available at all times.

🏠 Keep pets in a cool, shaded or air-conditioned area.

🐕 Walk early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are lower.

🔥 Check the pavement before walks — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for your pet’s paws!

🚗 Never leave your pet in a parked car, even with the windows cracked.

👀 Watch for signs of overheating, including excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, confusion, or collapse.

Heatstroke can become life-threatening very quickly.

If you notice signs of heat-related illness, please seek emergency veterinary care immediately.

From our veterinary family to yours, have a happy, healthy, and safe Labor Day weekend.

We’re grateful to be part of your pet’s healthcare team. ❤️
