One of the biggest misconceptions about working-line dogs is that they’re always “on.”

Drive isn’t the inability to relax. It’s the willingness to work when there’s something worth working for.

A quality working dog isn’t one that’s always “on.” It’s one that can switch on when it’s time to work and switch off when the work is done.

At the end of the day, these dogs still have to live in our homes. They should be capable of serious work without sacrificing stability in everyday life.

That’s what we strive to preserve.

Tara at 15 months

We don’t film training often so I will get some updated video this next weekend 😅

What I love about this dog is how clear her switch is from aggression to striking. She has some real edge and aggression in her guarding, and will bite for real if given an opportunity, yet she’s very stable and clear headed. When it’s time to strike she switches very quickly and bites hard and full. 💪🏼🔥
