Just wanted to share in reference to a negative comment on our Yelp page. We really try to do what is best for the pet in regards to making them as comfortable as possible. Sometimes the clients do not understand the Humanity versus Vanity aspect of grooming. If a pet comes in with extensive matting we do what is necessary in making that pet comfortable. Dematting on a severe level is very hard on any and all pets. Consist of lots of brushing, tugging, and pulling. May cause irritation. knicking and overall redness of matted areas. Which is why we avoid it at all cost. How pretty your pet looks is a Second to what we aim for which is a comfortable, enjoyable stress free grooming experience. We do try to make all our clients aware of this. Some just refuse to understand that a shaved pet is also a happy pet. Feels better than the matting and the stress of the tugging and pulling. We do not apologize for doing what is best for the pet rather than the vanity of the owner. We do what we can and just hope the pet had a happy experience.
