🎉🐾 **National Veterinary Technician Week Spotlight: Deanna!** 🐾🎉

Today, we are celebrating **Deanna, our amazing Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) and Lead Technician at NDS Animal Hospital!** 💙

Deanna has been part of the veterinary medicine field since 2020 and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2023. With two degrees from Michigan State University, she brings knowledge, dedication, and a true passion for patient care to our team every day. 🩺🐶🐱

🏆 **We are especially proud to celebrate Deanna as the recipient of TVC Co-op’s Veterinary Technician of the Year award!** This incredible recognition is a testament to her hard work, leadership, and commitment to making a difference in the lives of the patients and families she cares for.

When she isn't at the hospital, Deanna enjoys getting lost in a good book and spending time with her family. She is also a proud pet mom to two cats, Jasmine and Cleo, and her dog, Kolby! 🐱🐱🐶

Deanna's goal is to make life better for every patient and owner who comes into her care, and we are so grateful to have someone who embodies that mission as part of our NDS family. ❤️

🐾💙 **National Veterinary Technician Week Spotlight: Juliana!** 💙🐾

Today, we’re excited to celebrate **Juliana** for National Veterinary Technician Week! 🎉🐶🐱

Juliana graduated from the Pima Veterinary Assistant Program in May 2025 and is currently continuing her education to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT). Her love and passion for animals started when she was little, and she’s excited to continue growing in veterinary medicine while providing the compassionate, high-quality care every animal deserves. 🩺🐾

When she’s not at the hospital or studying, Juliana stays busy loving on her six pets of her own, including two cats and four dogs! 🐈🐕 From her Maine C**n and domestic shorthair kitties to her Husky mix, Australian Cattle Dog, and Belgian Shepherds, it’s safe to say animals are a huge part of her life!

We are so proud of Juliana for pursuing her dreams and investing in her future in veterinary medicine. Her dedication to learning and caring for animals is something worth celebrating! 💙

Crisp air, crunchy leaves, and a pup who is absolutely living their best life. Fall walks are genuinely one of the best things about having a dog. They make you get outside even when you'd rather stay in and for that we are eternally grateful. 🧡

Today, we’re celebrating our amazing **Elianna**, who has recently become an **accredited Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)!** 🎉🩺🐶

Elianna’s love for veterinary medicine shines through in her dedication to learning, growing, and ensuring every animal receives the care, treatment, and unconditional love they deserve. We are so proud of her accomplishment and excited to see her continue to grow in this incredible profession! 🐾❤️

When she’s not caring for our furry patients, Elianna enjoys life with her happily married partner, her three perfect pups — Blake, Lany, and Charlie — and her sassy orange tabby, Chester! 🐕🐕🐕🐈 She also has a special obsession with Golden Retrievers and is a big San Antonio Spurs fan! 🏀🧡

If you're running a mixed flock of chickens, ducks, or other poultry, fall is a good time to take a look at whether your current feed program is actually working for everyone in that yard. 🐔🦆

Different birds have genuinely different nutritional needs and what works well for one species can create gaps for another. Ducks, for example, need more niacin than chickens and can suffer without it over time.
