It’s FYI Friday and today’s topic is retractable leashes!

I’ve used this type of leash in the past with my small dogs.

A retractable leash looks like a great way to give your dog some freedom on walks….. but it can also create a dangerous situations fast.

From injuries to loss of control near traffic or other dogs,it’s one of those pet products that many trainers and vets advise not to use.

A regular leash might seem boring but it does create a safer walk for everyone involved.
