💔🌈 Forever in our hearts, Buddy. 🌈💔

Since July of 2020, I’ve had the privilege of grooming this sweet boy regularly, and he was one of those dogs who could make you smile the moment he walked through the door. 🥹💙

Buddy was a whole lot of personality packed into one furry body! He was hyper, nervous, excited, and always SO full of love. Between his endless energy and all those kisses, he had a way of bringing smiles to everyone’s faces. He may have been a little anxious at times, but his heart was always overflowing with love. 🐾💋

After all these years of seeing him, loving on him, and being part of his routine, it’s hard to imagine not seeing his sweet face again. These are the moments that remind me that grooming is about so much more than haircuts. It’s about the bonds we build, the personalities we come to know and love, and the little souls who leave paw prints on our hearts along the way.

Buddy, thank you for all the smiles, kisses, and memories. You were so loved, sweet boy, and you will be missed more than you know. Give everyone up there some of those Buddy kisses for us. 🌈🐾💔

Sometimes you have to look back at where you started to truly appreciate how far you’ve come. 🥹🐾

My very first place of employment in the grooming world was Bark & Bath, in my hometown. And that’s where I met Rayna. ❤️

Rayna took me under her wing and gave me the opportunity to learn, grow, and find my place in this industry. She believed in me, taught me so much, and gave me the space to discover just how much I truly loved grooming.

I will forever be grateful for her, for the years I was able to groom for her, and for the memories made along the way. 🐶✂️

This is where I started.
This is where my passion came to life.

Sixteen years later, I’m still doing what I love — and I’ll always carry a little piece of where it all began with me. 🥹❤️🐾

A little Bark & Bath back story. I bought the “little old house on the corner” of East College and Morris Street in March of 2005 with plans to open a dog grooming shop. I had been a groomer for several years already. I was pregnant with my son at the time so initially I groomed for a few folks I knew while having some improvements made to the house. My son was born in June and after only a two week recovery from a c-section I opened the shop and went to grooming full time and I’ve been in business ever since…. over 21 years . I was the very first professional pet stylist and first grooming salon in Powell county. My career started with Petsmart in 2002 when they sent me to grooming school in Columbus Ohio. I briefly groomed in a little building down on Black Creek in Clay City for about a year after leaving Petsmart. I have never worked for anyone else or groomed in any other shops since opening Bark & Bath in 2005. I’ve cut back a lot in the past few years. Even took my signs down and become very selective about the dogs I accept. I’m still open. I do all the grooming myself and am a licensed business. These days I just groom one on one, enjoy life and try to keep things low stress so my furry clients and I can both enjoy our time in the shop.
