Great Northwest Animal Hospital is closed today in observance of Labor Day so our team can enjoy a well-deserved day off. We will reopen tomorrow with our normal business hours.

What you’re looking at is an actual heartworm that a dog coughed up.

If you’ve ever wondered why we’re so serious about year-round heartworm prevention, here’s a pretty good reason.

Heartworms are real, they can cause serious disease and potentially life-threatening complications, and prevention is a whole lot easier than treatment. Seeing one like this is a pretty unforgettable reminder of what heartworm prevention is actually protecting your dog from. ❤️🐾

Just a heads-up as we head into Labor Day weekend! 🇺🇸🐾

We will be closed Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

If your pet needs medication or prescription food, please take a quick look at what you have on hand and give us a call ahead of the holiday.

We will resume normal business hours Tuesday, September 8th.

🐾 Saturday Grooming is Coming to Great Northwest Animal Hospital!

Starting in September, Sonia will be offering dog grooming appointments on the fourth Saturday of every month! 🛁✂️

Saturday grooming will be by appointment only and space will be limited.

Before scheduling, please make sure your dog is current on the following vaccines:
🐾 Rabies
🐾 Distemper/Parvo
🐾 Leptospirosis
🐾 Bordetella
🐾 Influenza (H3N8 & H3N2)

🎓🐾 Congratulations, Elle! 🐾🎓

While we're sad to see her go, we are incredibly proud to share that Elle has officially started her journey toward becoming a veterinarian and will be attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.

Elle has been a valued member of the Great Northwest Animal Hospital team, and we have enjoyed watching her grow, learn, and pursue her passion for animal care. Her dedication to our patients, clients, and team has made a lasting impact, and we know she has an exciting future ahead of her.

Please join us in wishing Elle the very best as she begins this next chapter. We have no doubt that she will accomplish amazing things, and we can't wait to see all that she achieves.
