🚨 Team Training Spotlight 🚨

This week, Dr. Michele provided our team with updated training on New World Screwworm (NWS), including recognition, prevention, and hospital protocols.

While often associated with livestock, dogs and cats can also be affected. Staying informed and recognizing wounds that are not healing normally can play an important role in early detection.

We are committed to ongoing education and preparedness to help keep our patients safe. 🐾

Last weekend, our kids Allison and Brayden participated in Boerne Lemonade Day, presented by Sonora Bank, as part of the National Lemonade Day program — an incredible program that teaches kids entrepreneurship, leadership, and how to run their own business. 🍋

Their stand, Ally & Bray’s Art Splash Lemonade, proudly won **2nd Place in the tasting competition** with their Hibiscus Dragon Fruit Lemonade! 🏆

They are now entered in the **People’s Choice Award**, and Dr. Michele and Dr. Travis would love to ask our amazing Great Northwest Animal Hospital family for a little support.

🍋 Support a Sweet Cause 🍋

Please join us in cheering on Allison and Brayden Wright at their lemonade stand in Boerne on May 2nd!

These two have been working hard on this project since February, and we’re proud to watch them turn determination into something meaningful. If they win the “Stand of the Year” title, the prize will be donated to the Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation, helping support Meals on Wheels in San Antonio.

A little lemonade, a lot of heart, and a great cause behind it. We’d love to see our community show them some support 💛
