We aim to keep families together 🐾
One of our adopted pups recently discovered he could hoist himself over the wooden fence post and balance along the chain link to make his great escape 😅 His owner reached out, and together we came up with a plan!

Today, we installed homemade coyote rollers and secured the escape route — and this is the finished result 🙌

A huge thank you to our director, Jan for coming up with this amazing idea and making it happen. She truly goes above and beyond for our adopters and continues to care for our dogs long after they’ve left the rescue ❤️🐶

Please help us give a WARM welcome to the newest member of the RPSVSA family — Tammy Lynn!

Our hearts were completely captured by this beautiful girl and her sweet disposition. She did extremely well in the play yard and is already winning everyone over. 🐶

Saving Tammy was only possible because one amazing foster said YES!!! Thank you so much to the foster who stepped up to give her a chance. 💕

🐾 Meet Buddy 🐾
Buddy is one of our longest residents. While we love him dearly, we know he deserves a place to finally call home and a family to spend his golden years with.

Buddy is an outstanding approximately 8-year-old Labrador/Golden Retriever mix (best guess) with a sweet, easygoing personality and a calm, gentle heart. He’s more of a laid-back couch potato than a high-energy pup, and he enjoys a relaxed lifestyle where he can just be near his people.

If you’re looking for a low-key companion who’s happy to hang out and keep you company, Buddy is your guy. He enjoys short strolls and quiet moments, but his favorite place is wherever he can settle in comfortably—especially right by his person or lounging nearby.

Buddy does best in a calm, steady home where he can feel included in daily life and given time to adjust. In new environments, he may need a little patience as he settles in and learns his surroundings. He is not aggressive, but he can be a little unsure at first and may mark while adjusting to a new space. Buddy also gets very excited for treats and doesn’t always take them gently, but he never means to scare anyone—he’s just an enthusiastic boy who loves snacks.

Buddy is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines and preventions. He’s ready for his next chapter with a family who will appreciate his gentle nature and relaxed personality.

If you’re looking for a calm, loyal, always-nearby best friend who brings comfort and companionship into your home, Buddy is ready to meet you.

🚨 STILL WAITING… 🐾

Remember Brownie? Our sweet boy who was saved from euthanasia at ACS after being hit by a car. He’s come such a long way, but sadly he is STILL stuck in boarding waiting for his forever family. 🥺

Brownie was originally adopted from ACS as a puppy and later found again as a stray. Despite everything he’s been through, he continues to show nothing but love and resilience. ❤️

He is still recovering and deserves so much more than a kennel. We would love to find him a foster or forever home where he can finally relax, heal, and be loved the way he deserves.
