📢 Important Update from Los Caballos Veterinary Clinic 🐾

Beginning immediately, Los Caballos Animal Clinic will no longer be open on Saturdays.

Our new business hours will be:

🕢 Monday – Friday🕠7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
We will only be open for the lunch hour to schedule appointments, or for medication or food pickups. No appointments or walk-ins during the lunch hour.

We appreciate your understanding and continued trust in our team as we make this transition. Our commitment to providing exceptional care for your pets remains our top priority, and we look forward to serving you during our updated business hours.

New World Screwworm (NWS) is a reportable condition (this is a pest that causes infections in both animals and humans) that has been largely eradicated from the United States… however a case was confirmed in Texas on June 3, 2026.

This is a devastating pest that is spread by flies.

This affects all pet owners, as this condition can affect dogs and cats. Keeping your pets on Nexgaurd plus or combo (or whichever approved parasite prevention you and your veterinarian have chosen) is more important that ever. Nexgard (along with several other anti-parasitics) are on the FDA approved list of drugs to treat and prevent NWS.

Today we celebrate a very bittersweet milestone at Los Caballos Veterinary Clinic.

Fifteen years ago, on July 1st, our Practice Manager, Diane, began a journey that would leave a lasting impact on our clinic, our team, and countless clients and patients. Over the years, she has been the steady voice of reassurance, the friendly face that welcomed clients through our doors, and the compassionate heart that helped guide families through both joyful and difficult moments.

Her ability to ease tension, listen with genuine care, and build meaningful relationships has turned many clients into lifelong friends. She has been an invaluable part of the Los Caballos family, and her dedication, kindness, and leadership have helped shape our clinic into what it is today.

While we will miss Diane’s daily presence, we are so grateful for the 15 years of service, friendship, and compassion she has given to our team and community.

Please join us in congratulating her on her retirement and wishing her happiness, relaxation, and many exciting adventures in this next chapter of life.

Our office will be closed today, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day. We will resume normal hours on Tuesday. We encourage everyone to take a moment today to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We are the Land of the Free, because of the Brave!
