🍂 Fall is here… and so is the itch!
Seasonal allergies don’t just affect people—our pets can feel them too. If you’ve noticed extra paw licking, scratching, red ears, face rubbing, or irritated skin lately, environmental allergies may be playing a role.
Fall allergens like pollens, weeds, mold, and dust can trigger itchy skin, and all that scratching can sometimes lead to secondary skin or ear infections.
Because allergies can look similar to fleas, mites, infections, and other skin conditions, an exam can help us figure out what’s actually making your pet uncomfortable—and make a plan to get the itch under control.
🐾 If your pet is suddenly extra itchy this fall, give Hillside Veterinary Hospital a call!
