Ollie was born on November 9, 2017 and was a purebred Yorkshire Terrier. He was welcomed into a fast-paced family at eight weeks old. He was adored by his four older human sisters (Olivia, Oaklee, Ostyn, and Owynn), a mom that stayed-at-home with him (Mallory Brewer), and a dad that worked very hard for the household and family (Douglas Brewer). He was the very first dog his family had gotten and was a surprise on Christmas morning from Santa Claus. From an early age, Ollie’s personality shined as he began “smiling” where he would bare his teeth but wouldn’t growl. His mom immediately thought he was aggressive and got him into his Vet. She provided the doctor with a video of the interaction and the vet started laughing; he said Ollie was smiling and it was in fact the opposite of aggressive. Ever since that day, his family embraced Ollie’s smile, it brightened their day! Ollie luckily never outgrew his smiling phase and did it until his very last day. He especially liked when his family would call him “bubba boy” in a high pitched voice- that surely got him to smile every time! As cute as Ollie was, he was mischievous and thought he was much larger than what he was (he only weighed 5 lbs). At not even a year old, Ollie was let out to the backyard to use the bathroom before bed and found a cat in the backyard and chased it out. However, the cat jumped over the fence and Ollie was able to find enough of a crack to where he could fit through it and escaped his yard! It was late, roughly after 9 PM, and dark outside. His mom and dad spent the entire night combing the neighborhood for him. His mom was distraught and worried she would never see him again. She posted all over social media for him and by that morning was reunited with Ollie! His Dad made many modifications to their yard and fencing and prevented Ollie from ever escaping again. Ollie was later joined by two more furry sisters, Harlie and Chanel. He loved teasing his furry sisters by acting like he didn’t want his treat and would wait for them to try to take it, then he would race them to the treat and try to get it from them. He usually lost his own game, but nonetheless, he ALWAYS wanted to play! Some of Ollie’s favorite things were cuddling with his family in a minky blanket and loved being wrapped up in your arms! Ollie loved being the little spoon! Ollie absolutely loved going for walks and loved getting out and seeing everyone. He loved his treats, he would get his family to get him one unintentionally and by time it was realized, he had gotten multiple treats. Ollie’s favorite thing in the entire world was his family. He loved every single one of his sisters, his dad was his favorite guy, and he had his mom wrapped around his paw. Ollie loved his extended family too; all his Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, etc. He would light up and act as a puppy when they would visit. Ollie lived an amazing life and was surrounded by love, he had a knack of being able to make anyone fall in love with him; all he would have to do is show that one-of-a-kind smile and everyone was hooked! Strangers regularly told his mom they wanted to take him! On May 9, 2025, Ollie was at his groomer’s for a routine groom. He went every 6 weeks and this time was nothing out of the ordinary, although it was later to be discovered to be. His groomer discovered blood in his urine when he had an accident and frantically called his mom. His mom rushed him into salt lake to an emergency vet, where a tumor/mass was found in his bladder. Ollie was referred to MedVet Oncology and met with a great specialist. After testing, Ollie was diagnosed with Transitional Cell Carcinoma (TCC). Due to the location of his tumor, it was not operable. Ollie struggled with taking pain medication and got very sick, so it was agreed that his family would allow him to live his last days without the burden of treatment. Ollie lived over a year with his cancer and just by looking at him, you would never know; he was playful, energetic, happy, and nothing slowed him down. Until May 29 2026 at eight years old, Ollie lost his battle to cancer. His family misses him beyond what words can describe and feel a void especially at home. His presence was so big, even at being only 5 lbs, and hurts so bad not having his light in their life anymore. They are clinging onto his memories and the love they have for him. They find solace in keeping hope they will see him again one day. Run, Ollie, Run… Run as free as you were wild. We love you forever, bubba boy!
