Time to shave down all these skins. 10 pickle barrels going at one time. Got 10 skins shaved, neutralized, and in the tan today!

12 more deer turned, fleshed, and salted today. 46 in 4 days!!!! Set a goal… follow through. 💪🏻
All deer made it through the process up to this point. Note to customers, Those few deer that had been in the freezer since 2015, I was able to get the ears turned with a little extra effort. 👍🏻

Update: 11 more turned fleshed, and salted today. That makes 34 in 3 days. 12 more on deck for tomorrow. Note: I salt my skins for 12 hours then rinse off the salt in clean water then they’ll go in the acid for 3 days.

Another update: 10 more turned, fleshed and salted today after my McKenzie Supply run. 23 in 2 days is pretty good! 10 more on deck for tomorrow. 🤙🏻

What an awesome 2025 deer season! Congratulations to all those that were successful in harvesting a deer and good luck to those still hunting!
Thank you to all my new and returning clients. This has been another fantastic season in the shop.

I have VERY limited spots remaining.

Currently, I am Only accepting deer from my past clients.

To maintain my 21 year track record of less than a 10 month turnaround time, I am no longer taking new clients until next year, as I am all full for 2025. If you absolutely want me to do your deer I would consider taking on one more for a $250 up charge to compensate me for my additional time in the shop and away from my family this coming summer.

Again, thank you all for trusting me with your trophy whitetail!

I was asked to build a mountain around a sauna for a tradeshow in Vegas. No sauna provided, just dimensions. Here’s how it all came together.

 You spend thousands of dollars on good hunting gear and spend hours, days, and weeks sitting in the woods trying to get a good deer. If you’re blessed enough to get a good one, don’t go cheap on the Taxidermy. Showcase your trophy Deer with great quality Taxidermy. Even if you don’t choose me to mount your Deer, please do your research. You don’t want some cross eyed deer staring at you in your living room for the next 40 years. Here are 5 to 6 great questions you should be asking your taxidermist.
1. How long have you been in business?
2. How backed up are you or how long does it take to get my Deer back?
3. Do you have some pictures of your work?
4. Do you tan your skins or do you use the old dry preservative method?
5. Do you do the tanning yourself or do you send them out to a Tannery somewhere?
6. How long does your Tannery take to get the skins back to you?

December 1 means Christmas time is coming!!!! Go ahead and treat yourself and get that buck mounted. I can’t think of a better Christmas gift than getting another buck to put on display.
