Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary, Salisbury NC

Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary, Salisbury NC Open By Appt Only. Open by Appt. Only. Our 10.75-acre site is on Grace Church Road, off US 29 in south Salisbury.

Our mission is to rescue, spay and neuter homeless animals and provide them with the best medical care in a nurturing environment, while working to find them forever homes or providing them lifelong sanctuary. Our dogs enjoy socialization and interaction in our outside fenced in dog area, just outside our kennel runs, as well as walking paths throughout the property, while our cats have access to

an outside screened sun porch. We have been truly blessed by the enthusiastic support of all of our donors and volunteers, which has allowed us to follow our hearts and foster, protect, adopt, and care for abused and abandoned animals in our community. The overwhelming support we have received has been astonishing, and Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary could not be possible without all of you.

Hello, my name is George! I am one handsome, cool grey tabby. I have long limbs and a long face. I like to stretch out on beds with my legs dangling out in front of me. I pretend to be disinterested in human interaction, but secretly I am a big softie inside. I love to rub against the legs of my familiar caregivers, jump in their lap for pets, and lovingly accept scratches under my chin.

I'm also an excellent feather player and love to bat the feather out of the sky! I am dapper, dignified, and would love to go home with you!

If you need a new napping buddy, George is the guy for you! Apply today to meet George!

O likes to make sure the staff is expertly groomed and a camera in his face won’t stop him! Chuckles and Tabitha inspected their new house, created by a humble Costco box.
We have so many adult cats available for adoption and, in a world full of kittens, they often get overlooked. Here are some benefits of adopting adult cats:
1. Adult cats typically are more mellow and have their fully developed personality so there’s not guesswork in how they’ll act
2. Adult cats aren’t as “chewsy” and are less likely than kittens to chew on cords
3. Adult cats require less attention and supervision than kittens and have more developed manners

Visit our website to learn more about O, Tabitha, Chuckles and Giggles, and more of our other adult cats.

📣 Birdie UPDATE:

Our girl is getting svelt and silly with the staff in her third week at the sanctuary. Last week, she weighed 117, a 2lb gain from the prior week, which we attributed to her eating more regularly. She went on a mini hunger strike the first week, but is now eating consistently which is important for maintaining her metabolism.

This week she’s weighing in at 112lbs and we can see definition in her waist! She’s loving her walks still and is especially fond of the pools on hot afternoons. Keep following us for more updates on Birdie’s health journey!

Hello, future family! My name is Wanda, and I'm a sweet 2–3-year-old Doxiepoo with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging.

If you're looking for a dog who wants to be your best friend, your cuddle buddy, and your loyal sidekick, I might be the perfect girl for you. I absolutely love affection and am happiest when I'm spending time with my favorite humans. Whether it's belly rubs, ear scratches, or snuggling up next to you on the couch, I'm always ready to soak up some love.

I'm a friendly girl who gets along with most other dogs, but what I really want is a family of my own to bond with. I came to the sanctuary with Cosmo and our son, P**f. While we've shared quite the journey together, the staff believes we'll each flourish best in separate homes where we can receive individual attention and continue building our confidence.

Like many dogs who are adjusting to new environments, I may need a little help polishing my leash manners. Sometimes I get so excited about the world around me that I forget how to walk politely! With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, I'll be strutting down the sidewalk like a pro in no time.

I have a gentle, loving personality and so much affection to give. If you're searching for a devoted companion who will greet you with enthusiasm every day and remind you just how special you are, I'd love to meet you.

Apply online if you think I'm the girl for you!

Hi there! My name is Cosmo, and I'm a handsome 2–3-year-old Doxiepoo (that's Dachshund + Poodle for those of you keeping score). I've got a big personality packed into a little body, and I'm looking for a family that can keep up with my adventurous spirit!

I'm an energetic guy who loves being part of the action. Whether we're going for walks, playing in the yard, or just hanging out together, I'm happiest when I'm spending time with my people. I absolutely adore pets and affection, and once I know you, I'll happily soak up all the love you're willing to give.

I get along well with most other dogs, but I'm also confident enough to be the center of attention in my own home. I came to the sanctuary with another dog, Wanda, and our son, P**f. While we've enjoyed our time together, the humans here think we'll each thrive best in our own forever homes where we can get all the attention we deserve.

Like many dogs adjusting to a new environment, I'll need some help with potty training and learning the routine in my new home. With patience, consistency, and a few tasty treats, I'll be well on my way to becoming the best companion ever. I'm also scheduled to be neutered at the end of the month, so I'll be ready for my next big adventure: finding my forever family!

If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate little shadow who will keep you smiling and make every day a little more fun, I might just be your perfect match.

🐾☀️ Our first Camp Pawtastic of 2026 was a PAW-some success! ☀️🐾

What an incredible start to our very first Camp Pawtastic! Today was filled with learning, laughter, new friendships, and, of course, plenty of animals.

Our campers spent the day discovering what it takes to care for animals, learning about rescue work, meeting some of our adoptable residents, and getting a behind-the-scenes look at how a sanctuary operates. From hands-on activities to animal interactions, every moment was packed with fun and education.

The best part? Watching these young animal lovers show so much compassion, curiosity, and enthusiasm for helping animals in need. The future of animal welfare is looking bright! ❤️

A huge thank you to our campers, volunteers, and supporters who helped make our first day such a special experience. We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!

Who says bravery isn't showing up even when you're scared? 💜🐾

Yesterday, Lavender took on one of her biggest challenges: her annual wellness visit. New people, unfamiliar places, strange smells...none of these things come easily to Lavender. In fact, they're pretty overwhelming for her.

But despite being nervous, Lavender showed everyone just how far she's come. She quietly made it through her exam, allowed the veterinary team to care for her, and proved that courage doesn't always look bold and fearless. Sometimes, courage looks like taking things one small step at a time.

Lavender is a 3-year-old girl looking for a very special adopter. She is extremely shy with strangers and needs someone experienced, patient, and committed to helping her continue building confidence. While she may freeze around unfamiliar people, Lavender is not aggressive, she's simply scared and needs time to feel safe.

Once you've earned her trust, though, you'll discover a playful, energetic sweetheart who loves toys, zooming around with her dog friends, and snuggling up in a warm lap after a day of fun.

We know her perfect person is out there: someone who will celebrate the little victories, respect her pace, and see the incredible dog hiding behind that shy exterior.

If you have the experience, patience, and heart to help Lavender continue her journey, please submit an adoption application. We promise she's worth every bit of effort. 💜
