🚨PSA ‼️

When I started this rescue, I was resistant to having electronic banking apps, I’d made it to 55 years old, never needed one & didn’t think we’d need it. Then came to the realization, it’s sadly a necessary tool for rescues.
Within 1 hour of setting up a cashapp account, I had 3 requests for payment. I deleted that one immediately. But Venmo & PayPal seemed safer, more legitimate & user friendly.

Welllll…. Guess what?! Our rescue Venmo account has been cloned/hacked❗️
We’ve included screen shots of the FAKE account & some of our rescue friends are “friends” on the account. That one is a PERSONAL account & not a certified/verified CHARITY account like ours is. Their account has an extra s at the end of the name.

We’ve tried to get Venmo to remove it but we’ve not had luck yet. ❗️EDIT - Venmo said if you were scammed PLEASE report the account. You’ll need info from me to confirm with them. So please, if you see your name - REPORT this FAKE account.

Just want to make you aware, if you’ve donated to that fake account, your donation didn’t make it to us. Please check your donation history to that account. Please only use the links we provide in posts or that’s on our “about us” section.

If you’re able to report it, that may help Venmo do something about it. We’re working on it as well. Hackers are experts at this kind of thing & it’s sickening to know how they steal from you & us.

The photos below are the FAKE account … I’ve tried to search our Facebook friends/followers, and reach out to let them know. But I can’t find some of these folks….

Please report the fraud to Venmo & I hope if you donated, you can get your money back.

❣️UPDATE - we’ve received info about this sweet kitty. It seems he’s been an outdoor kitty his whole life, his previous owner/caretaker moved away, the new homeowner was unable to care for him, and he became a neighborhood visitor. His name is “Boots” and is estimated to be 16+ years old.
He has zero reserves for his body to endure another winter outside. So he’s going to see our vet to reassure us he’s not suffering, and he’ll live his remaining time as a hospice foster with us.
Right now, he’s enjoying a warm home in a crate with a comfy bed & lots of cuddle time. He’s still not eating well, but we’re offering him something new each day until we find something he enjoys. He’s a purr machine & master biscuit maker - he is safe with us! He is loved! 😻

We may be a “kitten” rescue, but our rescue friends still call us when they see a cat in need of help too. Luckily, we have some wonderful rescue partners & vets who help us navigate getting these cats what they need & where they need to be.

This old man was found on Winter Quarters Drive in Pocomoke. He is ear tipped, not microchipped, extremely underweight, and in desperate need of vet care & some TLC. Does anyone recognize this sweet old boy? Please reach out if you do so we can reunite him with his family.
He is safe with us for now, and will see the vet soon.

If we ever need another reason to SPAY & NEUTER your pets, add this to the list!
Young cats, who are still technically kittens themselves do NOT want to be mothers. Nature & instincts FORCE it upon them & sometimes they loathe every part of it. She delivered them outside, on a sidewalk, alone….scared & vulnerable.
I’ve supplemented these kittens since birth because mommy’s had very little interest in caring for them. There were 4, but mommy decided to eliminate one of them yesterday in a gruesome way. It’s a horrific scene to witness - so I pulled her kittens from her, and I’ll continue to bottle feed. Mommy will be spayed so she can enjoy her remaining kitten months child free!
PLEASE SPAY & NEUTER YOUR PETS!

❣️ UPDATE- Little Nugget had his surgery today (10/15).
Dr Haberstroh said he did wonderfully - he’s having a sleepover tonight at her office for post anesthesia recovery & pain management. He’ll spend several weeks crate resting & healing…
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to help him, we still need to cover his Guardian ER visit, post op appointments & possibly a second surgery to remove the pins & screws in his leg.

Nugget needs you! 🐈‍⬛

This adorable, very affectionate little minion of darkness has found himself needing surgery to repair his broken leg! He has a fracture of his growth plate & surgery is his only option … either surgical orthopedic repair or amputation. Estimated cost is almost $4000 (this doesn’t include his Guardian ER visit). 😳
One of our foster’s family member’s dog found Nugget hiding & crying outside of their house last weekend. Despite being in obvious pain, Nugget is still an absolute cuddle bug, playful & full of personality.

We desperately want to help him, but our medical fund is already in the red, so we’re hoping our community can help us help this sweet boy.
