A little kindness goes a long way, and sometimes it comes with four paws in mind.
We had the BEST time hanging out with the junior high youth group at Trinity United Methodist Church! 💛
As part of one of their service projects, these amazing young people wanted to do something special for dogs. They invited us to teach them how to make dog treats, which they’ll be donating to shelter dogs.
And can we just take a moment to talk about how inspiring young people are?
We have been continually impressed by both the junior high and high school youth at TUMC. Their adult leaders give them the freedom and encouragement to dream up their own service projects, and these kids consistently come up with ideas that are meaningful, thoughtful, and important to them. Then they roll up their sleeves and make it happen!
That’s what makes this so special. These young people aren’t just learning how to serve their community. They’re showing us what it looks like to notice a need, care deeply, and do something about it.
They remind us that you don’t have to be grown up to make a difference. You just need a little heart, a good idea, and the willingness to get your hands a little messy. (Especially when dog treats are involved!)
Thank you to the youth group at TUMC for inviting us to be part of something so meaningful. We left with full hearts and even more reasons to believe in the next generation. ❤️
And to all the shelter pups who will get a little extra love because of these kids? You’ve got some pretty wonderful humans in your corner.
