Salida Dog Club

Salida Dog Club Salida Dog Club promotes responsible dog ownership for residents of Salida, Colorado and the upper Arkansas Valley.

Created by members of the community, for the community in 2009, the club helped create Loyal Duke's Dog Park, and also has organized trail runs, education sessions, clean-up efforts, and even a quarterly book club featuring books about dogs.

WHAT: Community Microchip and Pet ID Tag Clinic
WHEN: Sunday, July 21, from 12 to 3 p.m.
HOST: Ark-Valley Humane Society
COST: Free of charge!
WHY: Keeping your pet ID tags up to date and getting your pet microchipped help pets be reunited sooner if the worst were to ever happen. In 2023 Ark-Valley Humane Society helped reunite 185 lost animals with their families. Pets who came in with up-to-date tags and/or microchips were able to go home sooner.

Position: Animal Care Technician.
Hours: 36 hours a week, Thursday-Sunday
Pay: starting at $21/hr on weekdays and $23/hr on weekends. Benefits: health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off, and Life and AD&D benefits are provided.
