Meet “Apollo”, the 1 year old

This giant puppy needs work on all things obedience. He’ll do what you ask if he wants to (which isn’t often) and if he does he’s gonna do it sloooooww.

His owners are wanting to get him well behaved and under control before he finds his protective genetics. 1) because they’re knowledgeable about their breed and know what’s coming and 2) because they want to be able to take him to farmers markets, beaches, parks, etc.

In lesson 1 he learned come, sit, place, and break. His giant breed puppy brain and physical stamina had us breaking it down into bite-sized pieces with plenty of breaks in between, and he and his owners absolutely crushed it 💪

Living in an apartment with a reactive dog can be a nightmare. And that’s what Hank’s owners were experiencing. He knew some of his basic obedience but only when he wanted to and when there weren’t distractions. So it was far from solid.

He and his owners have gotten better and better each week. Solidifying his obedience, teaching him to overall be calmer, and improving their handling to make a great team 💪

The weekend before Koa started training he went camping with his owners. Koa ran off into the night, ignored his parents, and was gone for a while. Luckily he came back happy and healthy.

But that was the worst camping trip.

Fast forward a few weeks. Koa graduated his day train, his owners are more confident and knowledgeable, so they tried camping again…

It was the best trip. Koa had a blast exploring off-leash. His owners finally got to enjoy the weekend they’ve wanted to have with their dogs.

Most importantly, Koa is living his best life. He gets to run free on the farm, go to work with his dad, come on all the family trips, and he is so happy to finally have a job. Even if that job is just being a good boy 🐶

Winnie is almost done with her lesson program and today we visited Salem’s Monday Market where she crushed it (and got all the compliments ofc) 🎉

Winnie used to chase the cat, be uncontrollable around a ball, and a bit crazy in public. We’ve corrected all that, built her confidence, and now her owners are enjoying her more than ever!

Rosie was newly adopted when we started training and not assimilating into the home well. She was getting into everything, chasing the cat, and generally not listening.

Now, the cats can live in peace. Her owners get to enjoy her so much more and Rosie has earned the off-leash freedom every dog deserves.
