🚫 RIVER DAY TOMORROW IS OFF

Hi everyone. I checked the river properly today and we're calling it.

Kaeng Krachan Dam is 100% full and releasing 100 m³/s today. The area's had 7 straight days of rain (about 60mm), the Thai Met Department has Phetchaburi under a heavy rain and flash flood warning, and 23 households in Kaeng Krachan flooded on Monday.

Last trip the river was high, fast and full of debris. Tomorrow's setup is the same recipe. Not risking our kids in that.

October's here. The sky's still dramatic, but there's plenty worth rallying for. Here's what's on my radar.

No clean window this week, being honest:

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:00 PM at Expat Hub HuaHin 94 (Soi 94). Free Thai language class, all levels welcome. Good excuse to get out of the house while the sky figures itself out.

🎃 Kids Halloween Party — Hard Rock Cafe Hua Hin

Friday, Oct 30, 6–9 PM. 200 baht per kid, covers food, juice, games, and candy. Pay at the door.

Spooky DJ, live band from 8 PM. Parents welcome to stay and order off the menu. Costumes are a must, with best-dressed prizes for kids AND adults.
