URGENT: FOSTERS NEEDED NOW
Kokua Cats is desperately seeking foster placement for four young cats known as the “Cow” Cats. They are currently in extreme danger.

They were rescued as kittens from Talking Waters Park in Albany and have lived their entire lives indoors. They were recently released without consent and are now outside, frightened, and unsafe.

It was just confirmed that a nearby homeowner is feeding them, but the feeding area is across a busy street from where the cats shelter and linger, putting them at constant risk. One of the females, Oahu, was recently observed being attacked by an orange male tom cat.

We are ready to trap immediately once foster placement is secured, however no action can be taken until then.

These cats do not belong outside.
They just need safe indoor space and kind people.

If you can’t foster, please share.
If you can, please act now.

[Due to the sensitivity of the situation, please keep comments focused on foster offers, sharing, and support. Please message us directly if you can help.]

From The Founder of Hazel's House Rescue:

We try our best to help the community when we can.

At this time, we have room for several litters of kittens or a few juvenile kittens.

For litters coming in to care, they may be eligible for our Queen’s Program, which helps stop the cycle while ensuring the kittens receive care through our rescue.

At this time, space is available for kittens only as we have had several adults come in recently. . Unfortunately, we do not currently have the foster availability needed for serious socialization or taming of unsocialized kittens.

If you or someone you know needs help, please reach out by email:

Thank you for understanding, and please share this post so it can reach anyone who may need support. 🐱💕

This might be hard to hear, but it needs to be said.
Allowing pregnant cats to give birth is NOT rescue.
It may "feel" like rescue and it may "look" like rescue... but it is NOT rescue.
It directly contributes to the overpopulation crisis we are all trying to fix.
Every litter born adds more kittens into an already overwhelmed system. It takes resources away from cats already here and increases suffering long-term.
TNR exists for a reason. Most facilities will spay abort pregnant cats.

You cannot claim to stop unplanned litters or reduce suffering while actively taking in pregnant cats for the purpose of having those kittens born.

THAT IS NOT PREVENTION
IT'S PARTICIPATION IS THE CYCLE

Real prevention means making the hard call and spay aborting the mom BEFORE birth.

Actually stop the cycle. You are in control.
This work isn’t about what makes us feel better in the moment.
It’s about the animals and what actually reduces suffering over time.

Because the truth is…
you’re not saving them if you’re creating more of them.

URGENT FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOME NEEDED

Two young kittens need a safe home right away.
Kokua Cats provides all food, litter, supplies, and medical care during the foster period. Both kittens are spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated, including rabies.

Meet the pair:
• Sandita – A cuddly, jet‑black sweetheart who loves to nuzzle and snuggle.
• Nosey – A shy, gentle boy with rich black fur and soft burgundy undertones who is slowly gaining confidence.

This is a foster‑to‑adopt situation, giving you the chance to get to know them with no obligation to adopt. If you do decide they’re the right fit, foster families receive a 50% adoption discount, plus an additional discount for adopting a bonded pair.
If you can open your home to them, even for a short time, you’ll be giving two deserving kittens the stability they urgently need.
