2:22 Thursday A.M. Finished another night check on the horses. The barn is still standing and so are the trees that I can see. Horses are doing fabulous which makes me so happy! I’m so grateful for these amazing creatures and Maze my brave Dobir who despite being so scared will not leave my side during these regular checks.
Plus we still have power!! It sounds terribly loud and looks crazy out there but we are all snug

Ponies are all safely tucked in to the barn. Rain has definitely been coming down today. Wind isn’t so bad yet. Between today and tomorrow we are expected to get 6-8 in I’m really hoping not more than that! The cone at this time is below us so wind gusts up to 59 which is not great but we are as prepared as we can be. I’m going to do my very best to keep all the horses safe! I am surrounded by a great team and good friends that live close by so I’m very lucky 🍀 Iwill update again later this evening. I know there are a lot of friends and family that are worries and anxious

Good news! Emma Weinert Dressage is returning to Utah for a clinic on May 17 and 18! I asked Emma to come because of her respect for the rider and the rider's understanding of his/her horse, and her positive, quiet and correct approach. Emma is humble while also packing a wealth of experience both internationally and nationally. She also is incredibly funny and has a very positive energy. Finally, she is one of a few trainers who have been at Arroyo del Mar for years, and that group of trainers is phenomenal.

I have a few rides still available. The clinic will be hosted at Zephyr Ranch in Spanish Fork. Please let Wendy Hoyt know if you'd like to get registered!
