🖤 WHY is Licorice still here?! 🖤
I will never understand why black dogs are so often the last ones chosen. But a black PUPPY?! Come on, people. 😭
Licorice is about 5 months old, and he is an absolute precious little thing. He’s happy-go-lucky, playful, silly, and just genuinely HAPPY to be alive. He loves chasing balls. He loves to play. He loves to snuggle. He LOVES other dogs. And he is at the perfect age where he is going to be so easy to train and grow into exactly the kind of dog you want him to be.
And this sweet baby has already seen things no dog should ever have to see.
He came from a place that should have broken his little spirit.
But somehow…it didn’t. 🥺
He still trusts.
He still plays.
He still loves.
He still looks at people like they are the greatest thing in the whole world.
Licorice does NOT deserve to grow up in a shelter.
He is JUST. A. BABY. 💔
There has to be someone out there who will look past the black fur and see what we see — a goofy, loving, ridiculously sweet puppy who is just waiting for someone to say:
“You’re coming home with me.”
Please. SOMEONE give this boy a chance. Give him a couch. Give him toys scattered all over your floor. Give him another dog to wrestle with. Give him a family to grow up with.
Give him the childhood he should have had from the beginning.
I promise you, Licorice will pay that love back tenfold. 🖤🐾
