SOAD School week!

10/17/2026

Lennie finished his last week of board and train and did his first go home lesson. His owner is happy and doesn't know why Lennie is so calm now, haha. We worked on that A LOT with this boy as he had a very hard time settling in general and paying attention. He learned to work, have a job by giving attention, earning food, responding to commands, and respecting boundaries. Good job Lennie! Happy tails! He has more lessons to come to keep integrating the training and keep him and his owner on the right path.

Soon to be named, a young GSD female was in a high kill LA shelter. We donated to a local rescue, Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles , to help pull her and decided to also give her a place with us! Her arrival is in 1 week! Stay tuned!

Just another week of SOAD school! New dog additions, Luka the GSD and Chip the Boston terrier!

10/07/2026

Lennie is on his last week of board and train, and is refining his manners! Next week he will be integrating back with his owner and bridging his new learned boundaries. The go home lessons are so vital and important for this training to stick and be consistent with his owner at home. She will need to keep the structure and expectations for him to continue to mature and settle into this new mindset. He's tries hard and is doing well! He has a lot of exuberance, but he can do it!
