Keep your pet safe this Labor Day!

Labor Day weekend brings one last hoorah before the Summer season comes to an end- but some holiday activities and food can bring potential threat to our pets. Keep your furry friends safe with the following tips:

🌞 Beat the heat: Provide plenty of shade & fresh water, keep pets off warm pavement
🧪 Secure Chemicals: Keep sunscreen, bug sprays, and other chemicals out of reach of pets. Use only products that are labeled safe for pets
🍽️ Protect your plate: Avoid table scraps, Grapes, Raisins, Onions, Chocolate, Xylitol, and Alcohol.
🔥 Guard the grill: Keep pets out of reach of warm grills, lighter fluid, matches, and other grilling supplies and food
🌊 Use pet safe life jackets: If your pet joins you on the water, never leave them unattended and consider a properly fitted life jacket
🧨 Skip the fireworks: Loud noises can easily scare pets and potentially cause them to run away. Keep pets in a safe, comfortable room away from the loud noises.

A little preparation can help ensure you and your pets have a safe, happy, and healthy weekend ahead! ❤️🤍💙

Check out these dental before and after photos for one of our dental patients! A professional dental cleaning starts with administering anesthesia to your pet and begining a comprehensive cleaning. This includes:
• A complete oral exam
• A full cleaning under the gum line to prevent periodontal disease
• Professional scaling to remove plaque and tartar build-up on the crown
• Polishing the teeth to prevent plaque and bacteria

If you notice bad breath, Swollen and/or bleeding gums, Difficulty eating, Yellow and brown tartar deposits on the gum line, or
Excessive drooling, contact us right away for an appointment to determine if your pet needs a professional dental cleaning!
