Welcome home, Fallon 🐾💜

Fallon stayed with me 4.5 months after the Jimmy Niko case, and was placed in an amazing home after I knew she was going to be ok

Her family called me Wednesday to tell me they were being forced to move after their landlord sold the house they were living in, and they couldn’t find somewhere on short notice that would allow a German shepherd. I met them in Bristol yesterday, and brought her back home.

They were calling her a different name, but she still remembers Fallon, so that is what I’m calling her.

This sweet girl has been through enough. She’s here to stay

Caly-girl had her OFA retakes done today. She will definitely pass (I’m really glad the clinic redid them, after the positioning the first time 😬)
She is showing signs of coming in to heat, but she’s also been tricky with heat cycles so time will tell.

I am in talks with a stud owner in Illinois about potentially pairing her with the stud. He will correct her head/snout, compliment her drives, and pair well with her biddability and handler orientation.

I’m really excited to see what this girl will bring to the table. She is a super fun dog with a LOT of personality.

Apollo is a civil male, with natural forward aggression, and very nice structure. He is extremely handler focused, does not break a heel, dog neutral, and social when asked to be.
High hunt drive, high ball/toy drive

Jade is a social female. Pairing with Apollo should reduce some of the social tendencies and give a more aloof temperament.
Jade is very handler focused, but not Velcro. High hunt drive, high food drive, high ball/toy drive.

This is a repeat pairing that has produced very stable, biddable, driven dogs. Previous puppies have medium to high hunt, ball/toy, food, prey drives. They are typically aloof, but social when asked to be. Very handler focused, Velcro dogs.
Vados does not have the best pedigree, but she makes up for it. She is a very nice dog, in both structure and temperament.
This is my most requested pairing, and will be the LAST Vados litter.

🐾River🐾

River will be skipping her next heat. She *should* come in in October or November, but it could be later. I’ll have a better tentative breeding for her once she has her next heat, but will more than likely not be until March or April. She will likely pair with atlas again, as they have been a phenomenal pairing (my favorite) and extremely consistent with what they produce. Service, working, or sport prospects.

🐾Caly🐾

Caly had her ofas the same day Atlas had finals, but they were rejected due to positioning. She is scheduled for those to be redone on 9/16. I *think* she’ll pass, but it’s anyone’s guess right now (the positioning was THAT bad). I’ll be on the hunt for a Long coat stud for her at that point. Potentially Deci (aoife haus), but I have no clue.

One of the most overlooked aspects of breeding is recognizing that we may not be the best home for our own puppies.

Its easy to get attached to the gremlins we create, and plan to keep back. But we should always evaluate our circumstances, and the puppies needs, and recognize the best scenario for the puppy.

Just because a breeder does great with the dogs they have had for years doesn’t mean they’re the best environment for their puppies. If a puppy can find a placement that will allow them to thrive more than hey would with their breeder, the breeder should make that call. If they don’t, they’re not ethical.

The only puppy I’ve had to bottle feed so far. He was only supplemented, so he still got loads of enrichment and interaction from his siblings and mom.

He was the SWEETEST puppy. Despite being bottlefed, he was not clingy or needy. My “wittle buddy” (he responded to that too)

He’s living his best life in Maryland, hiking all the trails and falling into all the ponds

Axel has pretty much mastered “place” and a sit/stay. His dad is teaching him “search” with the hopes of utilizing him in SAR.

Don’t be fooled by his chill demeanor here, though. He loves using his teeth on his moms pants and ankles

She’s a pretty little bicolor girl that is extremely sweet, curious, and confident. She loves to explore, and cuddles on her terms.

She has a very small umbilical hernia that wasn’t observed at her 6 week vet visit. It will most likely close on its own by 6 months, but if it does not and requires surgery to be repaired, I will cover that directly under my health guarantee. It’s not always noticeable, only when she has a super full belly.

Dm clear
Could carry long coat, but I didn’t test this litter as Jade doesn’t carry.

She apptitude tested as very trainable and excellent for an experienced person.

Sin - River/Atlas

I’ve only ever teared up once when a puppy was going home, and it was this one. She is so much like tempest, it’s unreal. Even down to the color.

But her family gives her more fulfillment than I would have been able to right now, and that’s what matters most. She is doing AMAZING out in Illinois, and I can’t wait to see how far she goes in sports.

She’s going to own up to her name one day, just like her big sister and brother (tempest and havoc)

Komi (Vados/Atlas) is doing great with her continued obedience classes. Her mom says she’s usually super well behaved, but sometimes she has a teenaged bad streak 😂
She starts service dog training in September 🤞🏻
